Move over, Charlie Brown.
Halloween came early to “Live” on Wednesday as Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos unveiled New York state’s biggest pumpkin.
The TV lovebirds welcomed farmer Scott Andrusz onto the show, where he showed off the gargantuan gourd, which weighs a whopping 2,245½-pounds.
“I mean, this pumpkin is my best friend,” Ripa exclaimed as she cuddled up to the supersized squash, which was almost as tall as the 5′ 2″ host herself.
The TV star subsequently suggested the fertilizer used to grow the gourd had a secret ingredient.
“She’s so big, I would think plutonium,” Ripa quipped.
Andrusz, who hails from Lancaster in western New York, was crowned the winner of the 2023 World Pumpkin Weigh-Off held in Erie County late last month.
His prize-winning pumpkin was subsequently transported down to Manhattan, where it was wheeled into the “Live” studio via a forklift late Tuesday for its on-air unveiling.
“Live’s” longtime producer Michael Gelman excitedly told The Post: “We have had record-breaking pumpkins on “Live” for over 35 years now…as well as other gargantuan vegetables. I find it so funny and entertaining each year.”
“We love the Fall and Halloween here at ‘Live,'” the producer added. “So it makes sense to have this massive pumpkin on our stage making New York State proud. I must say, it’s wild to see how big this year’s winner is.”
Andrusz has previously appeared on “Live” with other fruits and vegetables grown at his upstate farm — and the gigantic pumpkin that appeared on Wednesday’s show isn’t the first to win a prize.
The farmer also won last year’s World Pumpkin Weigh-Off after growing a gourd that weighed a staggering at 2,554 pounds, according to the Buffalo News.
This year’s pumpkin will be displayed at The New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx from Oct. 21 – 29th.
In related news, a Missouri man recently used a giant pumpkin — about half the size of Andrusz’ — to traverse the Mississippi River while setting a world record.
