Where to Stream:

UNTAMED

A wise man (Tracy Jordan) once said “Live every week like it’s Shark Week.” Lucky for us, Shark Week begins this Sunday so we don’t have to pretend anymore. You can start tuning into all the exciting shark-related content on Sunday over on HBO Max, but that’s far from the only thing to watch this week. Also arriving on HBO Max this weekend is the new documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes, and on Netflix, you can check out Eric Bana in the new limited series Untamed set in Yosemite National Park.

Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.

Billy Joel has been a music icon for five decades, and in the new HBO Max documentary Billy Joel: And So It Goes, he shares personal details and rarely-seen performances to offer up a look into his life. On Netflix, Eric Bana stars in the new limited series Untamed as a special agent investigating a murder in the vast expanse of Yosemite. And on Paramount+, a brand-new season of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds premieres this Friday with two new episodes.

When a woman’s dead body turns up in Yosemite National Park, special agent Kyle Turner (Eric Bana) is called in to investigate. But the wilderness brings up a lot of old memories for Turner, and as he searches for answers about this death, he can’t help but be haunted by another case that he failed to solve. The six-episode series dropped on Netflix this past Thursday.

If you’re a Billy Joel fan who already thinks they know plenty about Hicksville, Long Island’s favorite son, you’re going to want to tune in to Billy Joel: And So It Goes. The new HBO Max documentary, which features new interviews and rarely-seen performances, will air in two parts; the first comes out on Friday, the second will arrive on July 25. The new doc features Joel reflecting on his enduring career, his humble beginnings, and the songs that have wormed their way into our DNA.

Captain Pike (Anson Mount) and the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise are back for season three of the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, which arrived on Thursday. Returning cast this season include Rebecca Romijn, Ethan Peck, Jess Bush, Christina Chong, Celia Rose Gooding, Melissa Navia, Paul Wesley and Carol Kane.

The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
