This week, take your pick of reality TV drama, sci-fi, action, and more when a new batch of shows and movies arrive on streaming. Take your pick, whether you want to watch a new season of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives, or the series premieres of Murderbot on Apple TV+ or Duster on Max, there’s plenty of entertainment to go around.
Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
The fallout from the swinger controversy from season one of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives continues when Taylor Frankie Paul and the rest of the #MomTok crew return on Hulu this week. For something less soap opera-y, check out the new Apple TV+ show Murderbot about a sentient robot obsessed with…his favorite soap opera. And on Max, J.J. Abrams reunites with Lost star Josh Holloway for the crime drama Duster, co-starring Rachel Hilson.
The women of #MomTok are back! The Secret Lives of Mormon Lives, the show that brought us the most swinging scandal in reality TV, has returned for a second season this week, which will consist of ten new episodes. This season promises to be so dramatic, that two of the show’s castmembers, Whitney Leavitt and Demi Engemann, aren’t sure MomTok will survive them.
Alexander Skarsgard stars in the new Apple TV+ series Murderbot which arrives this week. The series, based on The Murderbot Diaries book series by Margaret Wells, was made by Chris and Paul Weitz and features Skarsgard as the titular security robot who has juggle his duties protecting a scientific research team and his obsession with his favorite TV show (which appears as a show within a show and stars Clark Gregg, Jack McBrayer, John Cho and DeWanda Wise).
Duster is the newest series from J.J. Abrams who co-produces along with showrunner LaToya Morgan. The Max series takes place in the American Southwest during the 1970s and stars Josh Holloway as a getaway driver for a crime syndicate who’s recruited by an FBI agent (Rachel Hilson) to help catch the criminals.
The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
