This Easter weekend, set aside some time to get cracking with the top-notch titles that are premiering on all your favorite streaming services. April streaming continues to shower you with the best content across the board, but the Season 2 premiere of The Rehearsal on Max this Sunday is especially notable.
But that’s not all! No matter what streamer you use, there’s a brand new show or movie coming out this weekend that’ll be perfect for you to check out. If you like adult animation or comedies, then #1 Happy Family USA on Prime Video is likely right up your alley. If you want to see more of your favorite crime drama series, then perhaps Peacock’s Law & Order: Organized Crime: Season 5 or Starz’s Power Book III: Raising Kanan: Season 4 is meant for you. Looking for some romance? Then you can binge-watch all of Ransom Canyon on Netflix right now.
Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
The highlights for this weekend’s top new titles definitely run the gamut in terms of tone, but they’re all sure to make you feel something. If you’ve missed seeing the genius (and slightly terrifying) comedic mind of Nathan Fielder do his magic in The Rehearsal, you’ll be thrilled to catch the Season 2 premiere this Sunday on Max, with the following five episodes dropping on a weekly basis after that. For those who would rather not wait to see something new, you can start streaming #1 Happy Family USA on Prime Video, where all eight episodes are currently available. Lastly, you can reunite with Christopher Meloni and the world of Law & Order: Organized Crime right now by watching the first two episodes on Peacock before the other eight roll out weekly on the following Thursdays.
Nathan Fielder returns to entertain (and potentially traumatize) people with the second season of HBO Original docu-comedy The Rehearsal. The series sees a fictionalized version of Fielder continue to blur the line between fantasy and reality as he attempts to minimize the uncertainties that regular people continually face in their daily lives. Fielder makes the most of that HBO budget by using construction crews, actors, and immense resources to run scarily accurate simulations of people’s lives to help them rehearse for big life moments. Season 2 sees Fielder raise the stakes even more as he puts all of his energy and funds into tackling an issue that affects us all.
This brand new Prime Video Original adult-animated sitcom comes from the minds of Ramy Youssef and Pam Brady, telling stories inspired by Youssef’s own childhood. #1 Happy Family USA revolves around the Husseins, a Muslim-American family learning how to code-switch and assimilate as they try to navigate life in a post-9/11 American community that looks at them with suspicion and fear. See this patriotic and peaceful family find the humor in hardships on Prime Video now.
Law & Order fans will be pleased to see the return of this spin-off series as it enters its fifth season with a new home on Peacock. Law & Order: Organized Crime follows veteran Detective Elliot Stabler (Christopher Meloni) as he comes out of retirement and rejoins the NYPD in the wake of his wife’s murder. Season 5 sees Stabler, Sergeant Ayanna Bell (Danielle Moné Truitt), undercover expert Bobby Reyes (Rick Gonzalez), and tech wiz Jet Slootmaekers (Ainsley Seiger) take on intense cases involving cross-border smuggling, domestic terrorism, and a vengeful crime family. Catch the action-packed first two episodes of this crime drama now on Peacock.
