Season three of the tender Netflix coming of age series Heartstopper arrived this week with eight new episodes available to binge immediately. Also out now is Salem’s Lot, an updated retelling of Stephen King’s 1975 classic about an author whose return to his hometown in Maine reveals a discovery of vampires. And on Hulu, Sarah Paulson stars in Hold Your Breath, a psychological thriller about a mother who senses something sinister lurking among the clouds of the Dust Bowl in 1930s Oklahoma.
Kit Connor and Joe Lock are back for season three of Netflix’s Heartstopper, the coming-of-age high school drama about two teenage boys, Charlie Spring (Locke), who is gay, and Nick Nelson (Connor), a popular jock that Charlie develops feelings for. When Nick comes out as bisexual, they begin a relationship but it’s obviously complicated and emotional because high school. The complete third season arrived on Thursday.
Sarah Paulson, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Annaleigh Ashford star in the new Hulu original Hold Your Breath, a period thriller set during the Dust Bowl in Oklahoma. As dust storms ravage the land and choke its inhabitants, a mother (Paulson) is certain that something evil is lurking in the clouds and she has to stop it.
‘Salem’s Lot, available now on Max, is a retelling of the story set forth in Stephen King’s second novel. Ben Mears (Lewis Pullman) is a writer who returns to his hometown for inspiration, only to find said town being terrorized by a vampire. Horror director Gary Dauberman (Annabelle, The Nun) directs this fresh take.
