Get ready for some good TV this weekend, because some of the biggest shows around are back with new episodes, including Bridgerton on Netflix, House of the Dragon on Max, and The Boys on Prime Video.
Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
Penelope and Colin finally do the dirty deed on Bridgerton this week! The second half of season three is out now on Netflix, and not only are those two totally having sex, but Lady Whistledown’s real identity is the talk of the ton, and Pen isn’t sure how long she’ll be able to hide it. Over on Max, season two of House of the Dragon is here, may we eat a few carrots now so we can actually see what’s going on in those darkly-lit episodes rife with dragons and uncle-husbands. And on Prime Video, superhero series The Boys is back for a new season with three new episodes out now.
This week on Netflix, season 3 part 2 of Bridgerton dropped, and it focuses on the love triangle between Penelope, Colin and Lady Whistledown, at long last. There’s scandal (everyone’s on the hunt to reveal Whistledown’s identity!), seduction (Polin! Benedict! So many others!), and everything you expect from one of the Regency’s most prolific and romantic groups of siblings.
In the newest season of The Boys premiered on Prime Video this week with three new episodes, and new episodes releasing on Thursdays every week until July 18. The series, which has already been greenlit for season 5, picks up with Billy Butcher (Karl Urban) losing his job as the leader of The Boys, who have to figure out how to bring down Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit) as she attempts to assume power as President with Homelander (Antony Starr) watching over her every move.
You’d be forgiven if you can’t remember anything about the first season of House Of The Dragon, which premiered two years ago on HBO. The Game of Thrones prequel stars Emma D’Arcy as Rhaenyra Targaryen and Matt Smith as her uncle (who is also her husband), Daemon Targaryen, as they face off against her former friend/current adversary Alicent Hightower (who is also her stepmother, but not really anymore now that Paddy Considine/King Viserys is dead), and Alicent’s son, King Aegon (Tom Glynn-Carney) who has now assumed the Iron Throne. The eight-episode season is set to conclude on Sunday, August 4.
The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
