NextImg:New Shows & Movies To Watch This Weekend: Apple TV+’s ‘The Studio’ + More

Where to Stream:

The Studio

Powered by Reelgood

This weekend there are loads of big names and bit hits to binge. You’ve got Nicole Kidman in Holland, Seth Rogen (and a who’s who of celebs playing themselves) in The Studio, and Sofia Carson and Connie Britton in The Life List. Not to mention the premiere of Side Quest on Apple TV+, a new season of Survival of the Thickest on Netflix, and the premiere of the final season of Bosch: Legacy on Prime Video.

Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.

Seth Rogen and his longtime creative partner Evan Goldberg’s new project is The Studio, a comedy about the dark side of Hollywood. The new series premiered this week on Apple TV+. You can also tune in to The Life List on Netflix, about a young woman’s journey of self-discovery starring Sofia Carson. And then there’s Holland, Nicole Kidman’s latest project (this week, at least. Does she ever stop working?) which co-stars Matthew Macfadyen and Gael Garcia Bernal.

The new series The Studio stars Seth Rogen as a newly-appointed studio head in Hollywood just trying to keep his company afloat. The series has a truly stacked cast, including Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, and Ike Barinholtz, as well as dozens of celebrities like Martin Scorsese, Adam Scott, and even Netflix head Ted Sarandos, all playing a heightened (we hope) version of themselves. Two episodes of the ten-episodes season are out now.

The Life List on Netflix stars Sofia Carson as a young woman who sets out to complete all the items on her teenage “bucket list” (except she’s not dying, which is why it’s called a “life list”). As she follows through on all the items on her list, she uncovers a family mystery and encounters a romance, all thanks to her desire to finally take a chance on the things she has set on the back burner… till now.

If you loved Nicole Kidman in To Die For, she returns to the thriller-comedy genre in Holland, a new look at the dark side of suburbia, out now on Prime Video. Kidman stars as a housewife and teacher whose husband (Matthew Macfadyen) might be harboring a dangerous secret, which she hopes to uncover with the help of her friend, played by Gael Garcia Bernal.

The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
