This week, there are dozens of notable new titles, from Oscar-winning films, beloved reality competitions, and everything in between.
Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
The Oscar-winning film Anatomy of a Fall, written by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari and directed by Triet, arrives on Hulu this week, in case you still haven’t caught up on your Oscar-nominated films. On Prime Video, the straight-to-streaming remake of Road House starring Jake Gyllenhaal is now available, too. And in case you’ve forgotten that Peacock is the streaming home to Bravo’s shows, you can check out the premiere episode of Top Chef which is now available on the platform.
Anatomy of a Fall won an Oscar this year for Best Original Screenplay, and this week, the French film comes to Hulu. The legal thriller stars Sandra Hüller as a woman whose husband falls to his death, and she has to clear her name and prove she didn’t kill him. While Hüller’s performance also won her many nominations throughout this past awards season, the real breakout star of the film is Messi, the pooch who actually won the Palm Dog Award at Cannes this year for his performance in the film.
In 1989, Patrick Swayze starred in Road House as a bouncer named Dalton who was hired to maintain the peace at a club frequented by hooligans and the Jeff Healey Band. In 2024, Jake Gyllenhaal has taken on the role as Dalton in Amazon’s new Road House remake (directed by Doug Liman), and this time around, he’s still warding off unsavories, but he’s also a UFC fighter. Yes, there’s a romance plot with Daniela Melchior, but really, you’re here for the fight scenes where Dalton beats the crap out of any one of the local town’s toxic bros (Conor McGregor, Billy Magnussen, each playing their own distinct brand of “toxic”) who dare to disturb the peace.
Now that Peacock is the home to Bravo’s streaming library, you can watch every past season of Top Chef (including season one with Katie Lee Joel, and all 19 of the Padma Lakshmi seasons) on there, as well as the new season of the show. Episodes will air on Bravo on Wednesdays and arrive on Peacock every Thursday. Not only does this season mark the debut of former contestant Kristen Kish as host, but we’ll be treated to super-sized episodes that clock in at 75 minutes every single week.
The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
