NextImg:New Shows and Movies To Watch This Weekend: Netflix’s ‘The Wrong Paris’ + More

This weekend is filled with great new films, like Netflix’s The Wrong Paris, and excellent new series, like Reunion on Paramount+ and the return of Only Murders In The Building on Hulu. But you can also tune in to a few live events that are worth noting. On Saturday night, Netflix will stream the Canelo Álvarez vs. Terence Crawford fight starting at 9 p.m. ET, and on Sunday, you’ll be able to watch the Primetime Emmy Awards live on Paramount+ and CBS at 8 p.m.

Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.

Miranda Cosgrove stars in Netflix’s latest romantic comedy The Wrong Paris, which arrives to streaming on Friday. Also premiering this week is the acclaimed drama Reunion, a British series which comes to Paramount+ after airing across the pond. And for those Downton die-hards, there’s a new special on Peacock, Downton Abbey Celebrates The Grand Finale, that will give fans a behind the scenes look at the new, final film set at the beloved Highclere Castle.

Miranda Cosgrove stars in the new Netflix original The Wrong Paris as Dawn, a woman who signs up for a reality dating show, only to find out it’s not what she expected. Thinking that she’ll be getting a chance to find romance in Paris, France, Dawn is surprised to learn the show is actually set in Paris, Texas. As hard as she tries to get herself eliminated, it turns out, sparks fly with the show’s cowboy bachelor (Pierson Fode).

The BBC’s four-part drama series Reunion, which first aired in the U.K. in April, premieres in the U.S. this Friday on Paramount+ Premium. The series, which was filmed using a majority deaf cast and crew, stars Matthew Gurney as a deaf man who, after serving a prison sentence, is released and determined to uncover the truth about why he ended up there. The critically acclaimed show co-stars a few familiar faces, including Bad Sisters star Anne-Marie Duff and Eddie Marsan.

WHERE TO WATCH REUNION

Downton Abbey has endured for over 15 years as one of the most popular series on television, and with the theatrical premiere of the final film in the Downton universe, Downton Abbey: The Final Chapter, we really and truly are saying goodbye to the Crawley family and everyone in their orbit. The NBC special Downton Abbey Celebrates The Grand Finale features interviews with the cast of the film who offer their thoughts on production as well as the show’s legacy. The special aired on NBC this past Wednesday and is now available to stream on Peacock.

The options above only scratch the surface, so you know that this weekend’s full lineup will have amazing options for what to watch this weekend!
