This week on streaming, we sure hope you like death because several of the biggest shows out this week are giving end of life vibes. First, there’s Hulu’s Dying for Sex, about a dying woman’s sexual walkabout. On Prime Video, The Bondsman is about a man brought back from the dead, and in Netflix’s Pulse, a group of doctors in a trauma ward are trying their best to keep people alive. Might as well live life your best life this weekend by planting yourself in front of the TV to catch them all!
Not sure which new releases to check out? Let us here at Decider help you figure out what to watch this weekend and where to stream it.
Michelle Williams, Jenny Slate, Jay Duplass and Rob Delaney star in the new FX on Hulu series Dying for Sex, which just dropped this week. You can also binge the first season of The Bondsman, Kevin Bacon’s new (and occasionally grisly) show on Prime Video. And on Netflix, try out Pulse, the platform’s first procedural medical drama. All episodes of this week’s biggest shows are out now, which means a weekend full of bingeing!
Michelle Williams stars as Molly Kochan, a real woman who began to explore her sexual desire after receiving a terminal cancer diagnosis in Dying for Sex. The FX on Hulu series is based on the podcast of the same name that Kochan started with her best friend Nikki Boyer, played on the show by Jenny Slate.
Willa Fitzgerald leads an ensemble cast in the new Netflix medial drama Pulse, which arrived this week. The show takes place in a Miami trauma center and focuses on the personal and professional lives of the doctors there, especially the complicated romance between Fitzgerald’s Dr. Danny Simms and her supervisor, Dr. Xander Phillips, played by Colin Woodell, and the unintended fallout from it.
Kevin Bacon stars as Hub Halloran, a murdered bounty hunter brought back to life – by the devil, no less – in the new Prime Video series The Bondsman. Why, you might ask, would the devil want to resurrect a bounty hunter? So Hub can retrieve a few demons who have escaped the devil’s clutches. All eight episodes of the first season dropped on April 3 on Prime Video.
