New on VOD

If you’re looking to binge your way through some great films this weekend, there are dozens of incredible titles that are new on VOD this week. You can catch critically acclaimed movies like The Brutalist and The Last Showgirl, plus loads of other big films like Companion, and Love Me.

For the family, there are also lots of options, including Dog Man and Mufasa: The Lion King, the computer animated sequel to 2019’s remake of The Lion King. The film features the voices of Aaron Pierre, Blue Ivy Carter, and Kelvin Harrison, Jr., along with Seth Rogen, Anika Noni Rose, Beyoncé, and many more.

These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.

Brady Corbet’s 3 1/2 hour-long historical drama The Brutalist was one of the big winners at the Golden Globes, taking home the Best Picture – Drama prize for its depiction of a Holocaust survivor’s post-war life after emigrating to America. Adrien Brody plays László Tóth, a Jewish architect who struggles to achieve success until he meets a wealthy benefactor, played by Guy Pearce.

Another award-season darling hitting VOD this week is The Last Showgirl, directed by Gia Coppola. Pamela Anderson, who has referred to the film as “life-changing” for her, stars as Shelly, a veteran Vegas showgirl facing the reality that the revue she stars in will be closing. Anderson received accolades and Golden Globe nod for her performance, and the film also features an incredible supporting cast, including Jamie Lee Curtis, Kiernan Shipka, Brenda Song and Dave Bautista.
