After a lackluster theatrical release, M3GAN 2.0 is new on demand this week, along with other hits like the live-action How To Train Your Dragon, and more.
Also out on demand this week is Finally Dawn, an Italian film starring Lily James as a 1950s Hollywood starlet in Rome in the middle of filming a gladiator-style epic. The film, which takes place over the course of one night, follows a young extra on the set (Rebecca Antonaci) as she immerses herself in the lavish production. Joe Keery, Rachel Sennott and Willem Defoe also co-star.
These are just a few of the films that are available to watch on Amazon Prime Video, iTunes, YouTube, and through your cable service this week. Check out what movies are available to buy or rent on demand now.
After the success of M3GAN, the 2023 sleeper hit about a killer doll who’s a little too protective of her owner, it was only a matter of time before a sequel showed up. M3GAN 2.0 picks up two years after the events of the first film. Gemma (Allison Williams), the original creator of the doll, and her niece (Now her adopted daughter) Cady (Violet McGraw) have successfully trapped the evil M3GAN spirit into the body of doll, but when a new AI doll, AMELIA (Ivanna Sakhno) shows up and is even more dangerous, Gemma and Cady reawaken M3GAN for help.
Written and directed by Dean DeBlois—who also co-wrote and co-directed the original animated movie—the 2025 live-action version of How To Train Your Dragon is essentially a shot-for-shot remake of the 2010 animated hit. Mason Thames stars as Hiccup Horrendous Haddock, the son of a Viking who goes against his family’s dragon-hunting legacy when he befriends a friendly dragon named Toothless. This version also features Gerard Butler reprising his role as Stoick the Vast from the original.
