British pop star Robbie Williams rose to fame as a member of the ’90s boy band Take That – they were arguably much more famous in the U.K. and Europe than in America, but no doubt you’ve heard Williams’ 1998 banger “Millenium” at least once in your life. But, being a Brit, Williams was subject to the relentless scrutiny of the country’s tabloids and he’s had a wildly successful and wildly turbulent life as a result. Directed by Michael Gracey, Better Man is a musical biopic about the singer’s life, and with one big twist: Williams is played by a CGI chimp (and lends his voice to the animal).
If you’ve heard one thing about the spy thriller Inheritance, it’s probably that the film was shot entirely on an iPhone. The film stars Bridgerton‘s Phoebe Dynevor as Maya, a woman whose estranged father (Rhys Ifans) reappears in her life with a job proposition that seems too good to be true. The job takes Maya all over the world, but pretty she soon, she surmises that her dad’s dealings are much more nefarious and dangerous than she assumed and he’s not simply a businessman after all.
