A new ring in New England!
Patriots star rookie running back TreVeyon Henderson announced the exciting news on social media Wednesday, revealing that he had popped the all-important question to his fiancée, whose name he is keeping under wraps.
“‘Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, But a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.’ Proverbs 31:30 ????,” he captioned the Instagram post.
The image showed the happy couple posing shortly after the proposal, which featured lit-up block letter sign that spelled, “Marry me.”
The sweet moment was complete with red rose petals on the ground as Henderson’s fiancée showed off her diamond sparkler on that finger.
The running back has opted to keep his personal life out of the public eye, instead sharing insight into his football career and Christian faith.
Indeed, it’s the first time Henderson has shared a photo of his future wife on social media.
Needless to say, it wasn’t long before Henderson’s NFL peers rushed to the comments section to congratulate the lovebirds.
Will Howard, Henderson’s Ohio State teammate and Steelers quarterback, wrote, “Congrats to you guys! So happy for yall [sic].”
Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who played with the running back for two years in college, also celebrated Henderson’s engagement, writing, “Congrats bro.”
The news comes just days after Henderson made his NFL debut with the Patriots in a season opener at Gillette Stadium on Sunday.
