Two years after comedian Leanne Morgan released her stand-up special Leanne Morgan: I’m Every Woman on Netflix, she is headlining her own sitcom for the streamer — and fans recently got a glimpse at the new series.

Morgan, who recently appeared in the Will Ferrell and Reese Witherspoon-led You’re Cordially Invited on Prime Video and who also just co-hosted Today with Jenna & Friends with Jenna Bush Hager on Monday — and will return to the NBC morning news hour on Tuesday (June 3) — is teaming up with fellow co-creators Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, The Big Bang Theory) and Susan McMartin (Two and a Half Men, Mom) on the new series.

The three serve as executive producers alongside Nick Bakay and Judi Marmel. While news of Morgan and Lorre collaborating on a multi-cam comedy was reported back in April, Netflix released pictures from the new series last Wednesday (May 28), along with the show’s logline and cast.

So, what is Leanne about? Who is starring in the new sitcom? Here is everything we know about Leanne.

According to the streamer’s logline, Leanne follows Morgan as Leanne, whose “life takes an unexpected turn when her husband of 33 years leaves her for another woman.”

“Starting over when you’re a grandmother and in menopause isn’t exactly what she had in mind, but with the help of her family she will navigate this new chapter with grace, dignity and jello salad,” the logline continues.

Morgan told People that her new show “isn’t based” on her life, noting that she is “still happily married” to her husband, Chuck Morgan. However, she did highlight that the show is “inspired” by her life.

“I’m excited to share more about myself and where I come from with viewers, and I can’t wait for y’all to see the incredible cast they’ve paired me with,” she said.

Alongside Morgan, the cast of Leanne features Kristen Johnston as Leanne’s sister Carol, Celia Weston as her mother Mama Margaret, Blake Clark as her father Daddy John, Ryan Stiles as Leanne’s husband of 33 years, Bill, Graham Rogers as Leanne’s son Tyler, and Hannah Pilkes as Leanne’s daughter Josie. The comedy will also feature recurring guest stars Tim Daly, Jayma Mays, Annie Gonzalez, and Blake Gibbons.

All 16 episodes of Leanne hit Netflix on Thursday, July 31.
