Actress and singer Simona Milinyte opened up about the “horrific” car accident she experienced in November, which she said left her in an immense amount of pain.

Speaking to The Daily Mail, Milinyte said that she was hit on the freeway while driving home from the music studio.

“A guy with a massive SUV just smashed straight into the back of my car. It was rear-end accident – the hit was truly bad,” she said. “I hit my forehead into the steering wheel and the seatbelt crushed my left shoulder.”

Milinyte said she had bruising “all over” her forehead, shoulder, and abdomen, but “the worst pain and problems started a few days after, when the shock was gone.”

“I noticed that my whole abdomen on the right side was extremely bruised. The pain started to get more and more intense around the area where the seatbelt lock was,” she recalled.

The pain became “so bad” she went to the emergency room where she underwent several tests, including chest X-rays.

“The funniest thing was that I couldn’t understand why they kept doing chest x-rays and other test for my chest, because I said that my shoulder hurts and neck hurts, and abdominal area, and they kept sending me to get one of another test for lungs,” she said.

But the CT scan revealed that she had unknowingly suffered a collapsed lung. The news spurred her to hire a lawyer and take legal action, alleging that her injuries are also hindering her music career.

“All guy who hit me said was just that he ‘Glimpsed down for a second and somehow drove straight into me,'” she said, before warning, “So all I can tell him is to keep his eyes on the road because it actually can cause a lot of pain for others.”

The actress and singer also said that she is still not comfortable behind the wheel. “Honestly, I’m still pretty terrified to drive, I start shaking every time I have to drive, so just hoping I won’t have PTSD,” she said.

Milinyte appeared in a 2019 episode of NCIS: Los Angeles and has made appearances in projects like the 2020 comedy series Black Monday and Merry Happy Whatever.

She recently gave a shoutout to her doctor and her legal team on social media, writing, “I couldn’t be more blessed to have the most incredible team and people around me.”
