Victor Wembanyama is back on top as a massive NBA Rookie of the Year favorite.

After a historic night Monday, the San Antonio Spurs’ French sensation is sitting as a -600 favorite (FanDuel Sportsbook) to win the award.

Wembanyama posted a 27-point, 14-rebound, 10-block triple-double – the second of his young career – with five assists and two steals in just 29 minutes during a 122-99 win over the Toronto Raptors to extend his lead over fellow ROY contender Chet Holmgren, who is now +500 to win it.

The pair have established themselves as the clear top two in the race.

Brandon Miller (+15000) and Jaime Jaquez Jr. (+50000), both well behind Wembanyama and Holmgren, are the only other players listed at FanDuel.

In the days after the 2023 NBA Draft in June, Wembanyama opened as a -225 favorite at DraftKings to win the award, far ahead of the second-favorite Scoot Henderson of the Trail Blazers, who sat at +350.

Holmgren overtook Wembanyama early in the season until as recently as mid-January as the rookie with the best odds at most major sportsbooks.

But Wembanyama regained favorite status over the last few weeks after averaging 24 points and 9.6 rebounds on 50.6 percent shooting in January.

Over the weekend, before his dominant performance in Toronto, Wemby had been a -270 favorite, with Holmgren close behind at +210.

Wembanyama became just the fourth rookie in NBA history to record a 10-block triple-double, joining David Robinson, Ralph Sampson and Mark Eaton.

He is now averaging 20.4 points, 10.1 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and a league-leading 3.2 blocks per game despite playing on a minutes’ restriction since mid-December.

If those numbers hold, Wembanyama will become just the fourth rookie to average 20-10 with three-plus blocks per game, joining Alonzo Mourning, Shaquille O’Neal and Robinson.
