NextImg:NBA DFS picks: PrizePicks players for Pelicans-Pacers, Kings-Nuggets

The NBA has an abbreviated slate on Wednesday with just six games, but there are several that should be doozies, especially two taking place between Western powers and another between teams battling for playoff positioning in their respective conferences.

Let’s jump in and find some winners from the PrizePicks lobby.

It’s been quite the up-and-down season for the Pelicans’ superstar.

He’s been frequently injured throughout his young career, and his conditioning and effort is often criticized.

But Williamson is in a fantastic position against the Pacers, who own the league’s second-highest pace and just the 26th-best defensive rating.

Not only that, but Indiana ranks last at yielding points in the paint.

Williamson has taken 57% of his shots at the rim this season and another 37% of them were between three and 10 feet from the basket.

He has zero mid-range game or outside shot, but that’s perfectly fine for this matchup.

There’s also a chance CJ McCollum doesn’t suit up, which would be a bonus for this pick.

Williamson gets a tiny usage bump and averages another 1.5 points per 36 minutes without McCollum on the floor this season.

Fox and the Kings are fun to watch, but this is a brutal matchup for them.

The Nuggets are a much better team at home than on the road.

Denver sports a defensive efficiency rating that’s roughly three points better when the Nuggets are at Ball Arena.

Additionally, Denver plays at the league’s fourth-slowest pace this season.

On the flip side, Sacramento owns a 116.1 offensive rating and averages 115 points per game on the road.

The Kings are much better at home with a 119.5 offensive rating while averaging 121.6 points per game.

While Fox has been a tick better on the road than at home this season, in three games against the Nuggets, he’s averaging fewer than 24 points per game.

With the Kings much worse on the road offensively, I’m happy to take a shot on Fox underwhelming in high altitude.

Jokic seems to be quarterbacking the Denver offense down the stretch, getting his teammates more involved the closer we get to the playoffs.

Consider these per game averages:

His matchup against Sacramento is a good one, as the Kings are allowing the ninth-most assists per game.

Jokic has throttled this number in each game since the All-Star break.

None of those contests went to overtime, he’s just simply distributing at an elite level right now.

Barring a blowout, I would imagine he does it again on Wednesday night.
