The top male and female eaters from around the world will compete in the 2024 Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest!

We’re heading back to historic Coney Island, New York, as ESPN Networks prepares to air the renowned eating competition for the 21st consecutive year. That’s a lot of hot dogs. A new men’s champion will be crowned for the first time since 2016 because Joey Chestnut, the defending champion, was banned from this year’s event due to a sponsorship conflict that involved a deal with the plant-based hot dog company Impossible Foods. Mmm. Delicious, delicious hot dog drama.

Chestnut will still compete in a hot dog eating competition on the Fourth of July (which you can stream on YouTube), taking on four soldiers in a four-on-one matchup at the annual “Pop Goes the Fort” celebration at Fort Bliss. The famed competitive eater will also battle Kobayashi in a Labor Day hot dog eating contest on Netflix.

Who’s walking away with the Mustard Belt? We’re about to find out. Here’s how to watch all the action live online.

Coverage of the women’s competition begins at 10:45 a.m. ET on ESPN3, with the men’s contest taking place at 12:00 p.m. ET on ESPN2. If you can’t watch live, the men’s competition will reair at 5:00 p.m. ET and 9:00 p.m. ET on ESPN.

As we mentioned above, the 16-time champion was banned from this year’s event due to a sponsorship conflict involving a deal with the plant-based hot dog company Impossible Foods.

“We are devastated to learn that Joey Chestnut has chosen to represent a rival brand that sells plant-based hot dogs rather than competing in the 2024 Nathan’s Famous Fourth of July Hot Dog Eating Contest,” Major League Eating, which runs the Nathan’s event, said in a statement.

If you have a valid cable login, you can watch this year’s event live on ESPN2, Watch ESPN, or the ESPN app.

You can also stream this year’s hot dog eating contest live with an active subscription to an over-the-top streaming service that offers ESPN2, including fuboTVHulu + Live TV, Sling TV, DirecTV Stream, or YouTube TV.

FuboTV, Hulu + Live TV, and YouTube TV offer free trials for eligible subscribers.

Yes, but not with a traditional Hulu subscription. If you have a valid subscription to Hulu + Live TV ($76.99/month), you can stream today’s hot dog eating contest event live via the service’s ESPN2 live stream.
