The View welcomed the daughter of Nancy Pelosi, filmmaker Alexandra Pelosi, on as a guest for this morning’s show, where The Insurrectionist Next Door creator had shared some surprising comments about her mom’s political career.
Alexandra — whose mother has been a part of the United States House of Representatives since 1987 — first bashed Rep. Patrick McHenry’s move to oust Nancy from her Capitol “hideaway office” after she was vacated from the space last week.
Condemning the move as “so juvenile” and “petty,” Alexandra said the House is “self-destructing.”
“There’s plenty of room for everyone to have a hideaway office in the Capitol,” she continued, adding, “There are plenty of rooms available.”
Slamming McHenry’s move against her mother as a “junior high slight,” Alexandra told the panel, “It’s all very childish and it makes America look pathetic.”
While she was quick to defend her mother from “petty” Republicans, Alexandra shifted tones in her response to Alyssa Farah Griffin, who asked about her take on term limits. Nancy, who is 83, stepped down as Speaker of the House in 2022, but has shut down rumors of retirement and intends to run for reelection next year.
“There’s this big national conversation about the age of politicians and when is it time to not run again,” Griffin said, before asking Alexandra, “When do you think it’s time for her to actually step aside, ’cause she did announce she’s running for congress?”
Alexandra replied, “Alright, look. I get it. I’m not ageist about this. I think we have term limits. They’re called elections.”

She then proclaimed, “If you don’t like Nancy Pelosi, you have every right to vote her out of office. If you don’t like Mitch McConnell, you have every right to vote him out of office. You know what I say to all those old people? I get it. Joe Biden is not your dream dude. I get it. You know what I say to Joe Biden? Thank you! Who would want that job? Seriously.”
Alexandra then took a dig at Republicans, telling the panel, “There is something called experience. And the one thing we’re seeing in the Republican conference is zero experience. They have no idea what they’re doing.”
The View airs weekdays at 11/10c.
