NextImg:Mystery as toilet ‘belches,’ inundates woman’s new apartment with ‘mountain of foam’

This toilet throws up on you!

A California apartment tenant was flabbergasted after a mystery issue caused her toilet to flood her apartment with foam, turning it into a giant bubble bath.

Video of the sudsy tsunami has amassed over 5.8 million views on TikTok as viewers try and deduce the cause.

“The toilet…belched?! And my bathroom filled with foam!” wrote victim Ayoka in the caption to the clip of the “soap” opera, which occurred last month at her “brand new” apartment building in the Bay Area.

Accompanying photos show the woman’s bathroom inundated with a layer of bubbles, evoking a snow-covered lawn after a blizzard.

“Oh my god guys what do I do?” Ayoka splutters in the background while trying to take stock of her unusual predicament.

A follow-up video shows how she placed a towel at the bathroom entrance to try and slow the bubbly deluge’s roll as if erecting a makeshift tsunami wall.

However, Ayoka’s efforts to turn the tide proved futile as she ended up having to call a maintenance man. She described in a third clip how the guy showed up with a Shop-Vac (a brand specializing in wet-dry vacuum cleaners) and was “fighting for his life” against a “mountain of foam that did not stop rising.”

Needless to say, the TikTok commentariat was shocked and awed by the suds-nami with one writing, “Girl what DID you do??”

Another quipped, “Why does your toilet have rabies?”

Meanwhile, a third wit suggested that the besieged woman “Close the door. Blame it on the next person.”

Ayoka.

It’s unclear what had caused her throne to foam at the mouth in the first place; Ayoka explained that it had been seven days and that plumber still hadn’t come, leaving her unable to crack the “rabid” commode caper.

However, she had a few theories as to the source of the suds, including that the “vent/stack” was “blocked somewhere,” causing the gases to amass until they eventually burbled up through her toilet like a giant bubble bidet.

She also theorized that it could’ve been caused by a neighbor’s kids’ science experiment gone awry, or that someone “went ham” with their laundry detergent, shutting down the system.

In any case, it appears that Ayoka was finally able to give the bubbles the boot.

A follow-up video shows the TikTokker and her black cat strolling through the bathroom, which is now completely rid of foam.
