This toddler could have a career in the WNBA if she keeps growing at this rate.
Proud mama Clara Thomas’ 18-month-old daughter Magnolia is one exceptionally tall child and won’t stop getting bigger: She currently stands at 3 feet and weighs more than other kids her age.
Magnolia is even taller than her older sister — who is 3 years old.
“But her doctor says she’s growing exactly where Magnolia needs to be, that it has nothing to do with what she eats or does, but that it’s purely genetic,” said Clara, 19.
However, Clara and her partner, Arthur Thomas, admit they were shocked when they first noticed their child towering over their other daughter.
The stay-at-home mom stands at just over five feet, and Arthur mounts at six feet.
Clara — who hails from Arkansas — told Caters News that her daughter has been the same weight and clothes size since she turned one.
While the not-so-tiny tot can even share clothes with her big sister, shoes are different issue.
Clara has to buy Magnolia new kicks every month to keep up with her extended growth spurt.
However, Clara has no qualms about Magnolia’s health, as her doctors assured the family that she is in the 99 percentile of children her age for both weight and height.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention records the average weight for an 11-month-old baby boy to be about 22.8 pounds, while the World Health Organization lists that the typical weight is closer to 24.5 pounds.
Magnolia is also “very advanced for her age,” having developed good motor skills — such as brushing her own teeth and opening doors.
Her parents are also very “impressed” with her speech, claiming Magnolia can already speak in small sentences.
Clara added: “She affectively communicates all of her needs. Her sister was the same way.”
“She is such a joy to be around. She says ‘Hi’ to every person we pass in town, and she gives the best bear hugs! To know her is to love her, and we are beyond thankful for her and her sister,” the parent gushed.
But it looks like Magnolia has some competition: NYC baby Kason Priego had the appearance of a 3-year-old when he was just 11 months old back in April 2022.
“People stop me on the street to tell me how cute he is,” mom Alexa Priego told The Post at the time. “Then they ask his age and their jaws just drop.”
The Upper West Side mother gave birth to him in May 2021 and weighed in at a normal 7 pounds 14 ounces.
Alexa also overproduces milk, which is the reason that Kason is ginormous. She realized this fact when after two months of breastfeeding, the infant had become very “chunky.”
When she spoke to The Post last year, she noted that Kason was sporting clothing intended for kiddies ages 3 and up and weighed about 30 pounds.
The hospital administrator is also a mom to Owen, 10, and Gracie, 4, who were also large infants.
“They were very big babies,” Alexa explained to The Post. “But once they got a little older and started getting active, the weight just fell off.”
The mom has weaned Kason off her breast milk, and he is now drinking formula.
Has finally started to lose his chubby cheeks and adorable arm rolls, something Alexa said was “kind of sad.”
