NextImg:My genius LEGO hack makes my kids wash their hands

Handwashing has never been more important now that we’re living with COVID-19 as the new norm, so one clever mom has a trick to ensure her kids don’t do the sneaky pretend wash when they’re sent to clean up.

Posting a TikTok with the caption, “LEGO hand wash. Motivate your kids to wash their hands,” user @washy_wash shows us how she motivates her kids.

The account is seemingly a #cleantok one, meaning it’s dedicated to all things dirt-free and organized.

The LEGO handwash clip begins with mixing hand washes of two colors (for effect) in a typical pump bottle, and then adding some LEGO pieces and tightening the pump.

The idea then is for kids to use the hand wash as an incentive to get to the LEGO.

“Once they finish the soap, they can collect all the LEGO cubes,” the voiceover says.

It looks like a great idea, but some viewers were skeptical.

“I’m pretttyyy sure kids would just dunk it out and pretend they used it,” one mom wrote.

“My kids would simply use all the soap at once for a single wash,” another  commented, to which the original poster replied: “Mine are enjoying it.”

One viewer joked: “How to encourage kids to use 20 pumps per hand wash or simply dump it out.”

The mom puts legos in the soap to incentivize her kids to wash her hands.

Despite some negativity, the clip has been liked 16,000 times and has half a million views.

“So cute, and I don’t even have kids,” one wrote.

“I love this idea,” added another.

To be honest, in these unprecedented times, we’ll try anything at least once if it helps keep our kids safe!
