She’s one bad mother.
A so-called scamming scofflaw who was definitely not invited to her 26-year-old daughter’s destination wedding wound up crashing the event anyway — but the furious bride’s reaction appears to have only made things worse.
The hopping-mad honeymooner rushed to Reddit to relate her tale of woe, saying that she and her allegedly criminal mastermind mom have been “estranged” for about three years after the unspeakable happened, People reported.
“I cut contact with her after finding out she stole $10k from me and put me over $50k in debt by stealing my [social security number],” she moaned, in a post that’s since been removed.
“She has always been very emotionally abusive and she has tried everything in her power to split up my husband and [me] before we got married. For these reasons (and more), I decided not to invite her to my destination wedding,” she explained.
Alas, just an hour before the ceremony started, the woman learned through her maid of honor that the mom had arrived — “meaning she flew across the country to knowingly crash my wedding.”
After an unpleasant scene, the mom took the hint to shove off — which didn’t sit well with some in the wedding party.
“Several family members confronted me about it and told me I’m in the wrong and that I should’ve just let her stay because she just wants to see her first daughter get married,” she added.
“I know this wasn’t the reason — that it was just a power move [by my mom] to reinsert herself into my life,” the woman fumed.
Now, the mom’s side of the bride’s family is coming for the lady of the hour, “blowing up” her phone with demands for an apology.
Redditors came out forcefully in favor of the poster.
“Your boundaries matter, and it’s crucial to protect your peace, especially on such a special day. It’s clearly manipulative behavior from her to show up uninvited. Stick to your decision!” one wrote.
“She wasn’t ever a mom to you. She used you financially, stole your ID to commit fraud, is emotionally abusive, and methodically tried to break up your relationship. Thank God you cut her out of your life,” added another.
One commenter even touched on a way for the bride to get her revenge.
“I’m wondering if the feds would be interested in the theft of the [social security] number.”
