NextImg:My date catfished me, ordered 53 fried pickles — then left me with the bill

A dater hoped he picked a winner — but he got catfished with a side of fried pickles instead.

US-based influencer Zakir Siddiqui, or @Zockr on TikTok, posted a video about a horrible first date that has drawn 5.5 million views since last week.

He called his date a “train wreck” as well as “garbage” and a “waste of time” and proceeded to explain why.

Siddiqui said he met a woman on Bumble named Sydney and after some small talk about movies and TV he asked her out to dinner and made a plan to see her at 7:30 PM that night.

He said before meeting with her, he clicked on her Instagram account which was linked to her dating profile. It was set to private but her bio said she was a mom “to baby Charles” — something Siddiqui said she would lie about later.

The first red flag became evident at 6:30 p.m. when he got a call from Sydney saying she was already at the restaurant despite the fact it was an hour before their planned time.

He rushed to arrive, and when he got there he noticed, “she looked 10%t like her photos.”

“She looked 10 to 15 years older than her photos on her Bumble profile,” he said. He decided to go through with the date “to get to know her for who she is.”

Zakir Saddiqui said his date lied about having a kid and ordered 53 fried pickles.

They sat down and he told her, “Feel free to get anything you want.”

When the server came over, Sydney ordered the fried pickles — 53 of them.

The regular order of fried pickles only comes with 6 and the server started getting “stressed” with the odd request, saying she had to check with a manager to see if they could fit all 53 pickles on one plate.

Sydney then reportedly said: “Why can’t you just f—king put it on a plate. It’s not that hard.”

Siddiqui wasn’t happy with the way Sydney talked to the waiter and felt the need to speak up on the server’s behalf.

Sydney apologized but her mantra about proper customer service didn’t sit well with him.

He said his date later left the restaurant while he was in the bathroom, took the pickles with her and left him with the $140 tab.

“The customer is always right,” she said.

He then asked her why she’d made such a bizarre request and the woman’s response was odd, indeed: “I just like odd numbers.”

The server then brought 53 fried pickles on four plates and the date continued.

Sydney later asked him if he wanted kids in the future. Siddiqui said he might want kids with the “right person” before turning the question on her.

She reportedly told him she didn’t have kids, despite the fact that he already saw her Instagram saying she was a mom.

That’s when he decided to find a way out of the date, ultimately feeling comfortable with someone who lied about their looks, was rude to restaurant staff and lied about having a kid.

He excused himself to go to the restroom and regroup — but returned to an empty table. She’d already left with her pickles while Siddiqui was stuck with a $140 bill.

The Post reached out to Siddiqui for additional comment.

Viewers on TikTok did their best to sympathize with Siddiqui’s strange predicament.

“Can we start a GoFundMe for $140 for this poor guy, please? ????????????,” one implored.

Added a skeptic, “Personally the second she ordered 53 pickles I would just got up and left.”
