A mugger punched a 46-year-old man in the face and snatched his cell phone inside a Midtown train station early Monday, cops said.

The victim and suspect were arguing on board a southbound No. 1 train pulling into the 59th St-Columbus Circle station just before 5 a.m., police said.&nbsp;

When the two men got off the train, the assailant punched the victim in the face and grabbed his phone, authorities said.&nbsp;

The robber took off and was still being sought later in the morning.&nbsp;

The victim was not hospitalized, police said.&nbsp;
