When are we going to wake up and admit that the MTA is a poorly run agency (“MTA not fare to commuters,” Oct. 1)?
Management is bordering on incompetent. Prices are raised to cover deficits while the MTA loses almost a billion dollars because of unpaid fares. It takes forever to finish a project, and it’s never completed without a huge cost overrun.
It’s time to end the nonsense: Create a responsible and efficient MTA, and fire the people not doing the job.

I think Libby Emmons is wildly out of line in her column (“Erika Kirk’s Mission: Save Gen Z Women,” PostOpinion, Sept. 29)
If some women want to be mothers and feel that is their passion in life, that’s wonderful. If some want to focus on their careers and don’t want to have a partner, that’s also wonderful. Neither option is wrong.
This old and tired lie that young women are miserable because they don’t have a man in their lives is exhausting.

How appalling it was to read that an illegal alien received a New York commercial driver’s license with no name given (“An Un-REAL ID,” Oct. 1).
I recently went to the New York DMV to apply for an enhanced drivers license. I had my drivers license and my passport with me, and I was told I could not get the enhanced drivers license unless I also provided my birth certificate and my social security card.
Shame on you, New York, for giving an illegal alien a commercial drivers license without meeting the ID requirements for legal citizens.

The left is beside itself, turning to lies and facilitating domestic terror (“Domestic Terror Wave,” Rich Lowry, PostOpinion, Sept. 26).
Donald Trump has been a bête noire for Democrats since announcing his first presidential run. His unique take on politics — telling the blunt truth — discombobulated the professional sycophants of the anointed political class.
Now bodies are piling up and no Democrat of prominence has the honesty to call out their party. Craven cowards, all.

“The more I love mankind as a whole, the less I love man in particular”: That Dostoevsky line came to mind while watching protests against ICE (“Fight goes to Portland,” Sept. 29).
What strikes me is how often the far left professes boundless love for “humanity,” yet directs venom toward the actual people in front of them: police officers, community members or political opponents.
When “love” becomes an abstract ideal, it becomes easier to despise flesh-and-blood human beings who stand in its way. The end result is hatred in the name of caring.
Yet real compassion is measured not by our values, but by how we treat our neighbors. If we cannot love the person across the street, then our love for “humanity” is merely a dream.

Bad Bunny is a bad choice for the 2026 Super Bowl (“Bad Bunny Bowl’d over,” Sept. 29).
I cannot believe Apple Music sponsored this guy. For my part, I’ve canceled my Apple Music subscription.
