Pete Davidson was left blushing and flustered on Wednesday’s (March 26) episode of Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney when fellow guest Luenell grilled him about his storied dating history. We have to thank the magic of live TV for this one.

Davidson, who was seated on a couch beside the fellow comedian and host John Mulaney, had a revealing reaction when one of his most famous exes was mentioned by Luenell.

“I’ve been studying you,” she began. “To me, you’re just an average guy,” which made Davidson bend over in laughter.

“Regular guy, but you continuously pull all these bad bitches, right?” she continued as Davidson smiled and looked down a bit self consciously, likely fearing where the line of questioning was headed.

“So I don’t know that I’ve seen you with any sistas, you’ve probably dated them. I don’t think we’ve seen that. Since I don’t get it, I want to know the mystique,” she told him. “Now, you’ve had Kim K—” which prompted Davidson to immediately exclaim “Oh god,” and close his eyes then put his hand to his face.

Davidson dated Kim Kardashian in 2021, and the couple notably attended the 2022 Met Gala together. Davidson even appeared on The Kardashians. Unfortunately, the pair weren’t a forever match and went their separate ways in August 2022.

On Mulaney’s show, Luenell told Davidson, “You’ve had other people, you’ve got this little supermodel right now,” referring to his current girlfriend, Elsie Hewitt. “And what I think, for the research and for women across America, I think that you should take me out.”

Clapping and nodding his head, Davidson replied, “If that’s what it takes to stop this, yeah, yes.”

Mulaney, stepping in for the rescue, said, “We’re gonna move off Pete’s personal life, but I’m gonna get you guys a gift card to a Benihana in Tarzana,” a line that had both Davidson and Luenell covering their faces this time.

Davidson previously expressed his discomfort discussing his dating life in an interview with W Magazine, in which he said, “I don’t want to be this fucking loser who just dates people. That’s not who I am.”

Everybody’s Live with John Mulaney airs Wednesdays at 7 p.m. PT / 10 p.m. ET on Netflix.
