Since the fiscal year began in October, border agents have encountered 21,000 Chinese nationals in the San Diego sector, according to obtained by <a href="https://www.foxnews.com/politics/chinese-migrants-eclipse-mexican-nationals-in-key-southern-border-sector" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">Fox News</a>.

During the same time period, border agents only encountered 18,700 Mexicans trying to cross the border into the United States in the region.
