Call it mourning sickness.
A mom-to-be from Louisville, KY turned heads recently when she announced her pregnancy while dressed in all black funeral attire as a way of saying “R.I.P to being kid free!”
Cheridan Logsdon, a 23-year-old “soon to be graduate of Kentucky State University” according to her LinkedIn, decided to implement a little morbid humor into a photoshoot by Maliq Trigg that broke the little, big news.
“The young and turnt, rich auntie has finally transitioned over to a mother,” she wrote on Facebook next to pictures of her in a dark veil, wiping her eyes while holding up photos of her sonogram.
“All jokes aside, I’m truly excited to start this new chapter in my life! Still can’t believe it but it’s growing on me.”
Logsdon’s post has quickly gone viral — amassing more than 14,000 likes — and she teased an even more creative photoshoot is in the works as well.
“Now I gotta come up with something just as different for the maternity shoots and yes with an ‘S’ because there will be multiple,” she wrote on another status post.
The sense of humor Logsdon showed with her six-feet-under shoot was received rather well by the public, many who wished her congratulations and commented on how funny the felt the announcement was.
“This is so cute and hilarious,” one reader commented.
“Lol this cute tho — congrats,” wrote another.
“if I ever get caught up this exactly how I’m coming,” third social media user chimed in.
Logsdon will be celebrating her gender reveal with family and friends in early October.
