Not a parent’s worst nightmare, but it comes pretty darn close.
The embarrassed mother of the young man who made headlines when he was caught joining the mile-high club inside a bathroom on an easyJet flight said she learned of the surreal incident while watching TV at home, according to The Sun.
Mom Elaine happened to be relaxing at home watching UK talk show “Loose Women” when she saw the video of her son Piers Sawyer’s wild act first shared to X, formally known as Twitter.
“I was watching Loose Women and they were talking about it on there, and some of Piers’s friends started sending me the clip,” Elaine said.
“It’s not something a mom wants to see,” she continued.
Piers, who happened to be celebrating his 23rd birthday, and an unidentified woman were interrupted in the middle of their midair romp as an easyJet employee swung open the bathroom doors.
When the two were discovered in their throws of passion, passengers went into a frenzy — with some even cheering them on.
“Oh my f—ing God,” a passenger on the flight shouted in disbelief.
Even more bizarre, the mother believes the woman might’ve just been a stranger her son met at the airport before the two boarded the flight.
“I don’t think he knew her,” Elaine told the outlet. “They were all just having a good time in the airport and then this happened.”
“…He’s a 23-year-old single lad on his birthday, going to Ibiza. It’s a party plane,” the mother added.
Sawyer, who happens to be a car salesman, slammed the door shut immediately when the easyJet worker interrupted his experience.
When Sawyer and the woman headed back to their seats — walk-of-shame style — the two were seen grinning while passengers cheer on, the Sun reported.
Elaine says her son would rather not talk about the infamous embarrassing moment, insisting she felt bad the whole thing blew up.
“Piers doesn’t want to talk about it. He probably just wants to forget it,” she said.
“You’re aware these things are going to happen at the holiday destination but you don’t expect it to happen on the flight,” the mother added.
Elaine also wasn’t fond of how the flight employee handled the situation, believing he was “egged” on by the amount of laughing passengers.
“The air steward shouldn’t have just opened the door. The whole flight was egging him on and even he was laughing,” Elaine contended.
Social media had a field day once the video blew up on social media.
“It’s environmentally friendly,” one person joked on X, formally known as Twitter.
“Joining the Mile high club on easy jet. Outrageous effort!” a person joked.
The flight crew made it known to police about the incident, and the couple was met by cops upon landing at their destination in Ibiza.
No arrest records of Piers or the woman have been found.
