This wasn’t child’s play.

A Georgia mom was busted after getting caught on viral video driving down a local road with her 12-year-old son sitting inside the trunk of her Dodge sedan, according to police.

Diana Denise Shaffer, 36, was charged with reckless conduct and issued a citation for a seat belt violation after cops eyeballed the footage on social media Sunday and tracked her down, the Gwinnett County Police Department wrote on Facebook.

“The video referenced ‘Gwinnett County’ but it was unclear exactly where it was filmed or when the incident occurred,” the department said. “There was a large object in the trunk along with the child.

“In the images, the child could be seen in the vehicle’s trunk.”

Cops tracked down the car, which had out-of-state plates, and caught up with the driver in her home in Duluth on Tuesday and placed her under arrest, police said.

Shaffer allegedly told cops that she had the boy sit in the trunk to make sure that a baby bassinet she had purchased online didn’t fly out of the car while she was driving, and instructed him to hold on to it, according to police.

She was booked at the Gwinnett County Jail and the boy was placed with relatives, police said.

She posted bail on Wednesday, according to WANF-TV.
