All eyes are on polarizing MLB umpire Phil Cuzzi once again.

Cuzzi, who famously ejected Mets ace Max Scherzer last month in what became a sticky-glove scandal, drew the ire of fans Monday when he was stationed behind home plate in the Dodgers’ 9-8 win over the Twins.

Cuzzi had two atrocious strike calls against Minnesota outfielder Alex Kirilloff at the top of the 10th inning, the first of which was high and outside, whereas the other was inside and outside of the strike box.

Fans took to Twitter immediately after to lash out at Cuzzi, calling the ordeal “an embarrassment.”

“Everyone heading into work today can rest assured that they will never be as bad at their job as phil cuzzi is,” one fan opined.

Another user wrote, “It’s always nice when Twitter brings people together with a unifying opinion and today it’s Phil Cuzzi is terrible at his job.”

“Phil Cuzzi is a bad umpire and even the Dodgers announcers are passionate in their agreement,” another fan posted.

The fan appeared to be referencing commentary from the Dodgers announcers, with one noting, “Boy oh boy, Phil Cuzzi just made being a Major League hitter way harder than it already is,” according to Awful Announcing.

“Both sides of the plate were an extra three inches. We shall take it. I mean, that’s not even close,” the commentary continued.

A similar sentiment was offered by Twins broadcasters for Bally Sports North when analyzing Kirilloff’s at-bat.

“He never had a chance in that at-bat,” can be heard during the broadcast, along with, “In a key spot, you’ve got to be better than that. [Dodgers catcher Will Smith] had to reach across the plate.”

With the Dodgers hosting the Twins on Tuesday and Wednesday as part of a three-game series, it remains to be seen if further issues at the plate will arise.
