Friday night, Juan Soto will play his 50th game as a Met. 

For all concerned, the Mets have to hope the next 50 will be better than the first. If not, the harsh reaction Soto received from the Yankees Stadium crowd might cross over to Citi Field. 

So far, the Queens faithful have been mostly supportive, but after leaving the maelstrom of Yankee Stadium, Soto had another rough series against the Red Sox — which included not swinging at the first seven pitches he saw in consecutive strikeouts versus lefty Garrett Crochet. 

“He looks uncomfortable, like he doesn’t know what to do,’’ one NL scout who watched Soto in Boston said Thursday. “He’s always been known for his patience. It’s a big part of what makes him so special. But this wasn’t patience. This seemed more like indecisiveness.”
