The MLB is Team Livvy Dunne.
Taking to X, the league reposted a TikTok video from the 2024 NCAA gymnastics champ, which showed her celebrating her boyfriend, pitcher Paul Skenes being called up to the Pirates on Tuesday.
“POV: you both wake up from a nap and find out he’s in the MLB,” the 21-year-old Dunne captioned the video.
She filmed herself dancing while Skenes, who won an NCAA title with the LSU Tigers in 2023, was standing in the background.
“Livvy Dunne’s reaction to Paul Skenes getting called up to the Pirates,” the MLB X account wrote, adding a teary-eyed smiling emoji and a red heart emoji.
“Wakey wakey Paul,” the league’s TikTok account commented under Dunne’s post.
In a separate post on her Instagram Story this week, Dunne wrote, “Here we go!” including a video of Skenes — the No. 1 pick in the 2023 MLB draft by the Pirates — in his Pittsburgh uniform.
The Pirates called up the right-hander to the majors earlier this week for a start in Saturday’s game against the Chicago Cubs.
Skenes, who signed with the Pirates for $9.2 million, began the season as a flamethrower in the minors, throwing triple digits in Triple-A Indianapolis.
He has 45 strikeouts in 27 1/3 innings to go along with a 0.99 ERA and 0.91 WHIP.
As for Dunne?
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model is finishing her senior year at LSU, where she helped the Lady Tigers gymnastics team win it’s first-ever championship in program history last month.
The influencer — who has more than 13 million followers across Instagram and TikTok — became a face of the name, image and likeness (NIL) era and earns a reported seven figures.
Dunne has brand deals with Vuori clothing, EA Sports, Body Armor, Grubhub, Forever 21, American Eagle Outfitters and Bartleby, which is a growing study app, among others.
