The mother of a 21-year-old Israeli woman who has been missing since terrorists bombarded an outdoor rave near Gaza issued a desperate plea to Hamas, telling her daughter’s captors that they can still “change their ways” and return her safely.
Ahuva Maizel said she could hear gunshots ringing out when she last spoke to her daughter Adi Maizel over the phone at about 7:40 a.m. Saturday.
“I’m talking to everyone who will listen to me because maybe my daughter will hear me or see me,” the devastated mother said during a Zoom press conference Monday, according to Times of Israel.
“Or maybe the one who is holding her [captive] will hear me and I’m telling you, I’m asking you as a human being to a human being: We have the same DNA, we are not animals, you can change your ways and you can bring them back.”
The frantic mother pleaded: “If you hear me, just imagine your daughter, maybe you’re a father, a brother, how can you do such things?”
Ahuva and her husband, Eli Maizel, have not heard from their daughter since their early morning phone call – and have no way of knowing her location or condition.
“We don’t know if she’s alive or not, we don’t know if she’s somewhere bleeding if someone abducted her,” Ahuva added. “We’re completely helpless.”
At least 260 people were killed while fleeing the Tribe of Nova music festival near Gaza early Saturday morning.
The outdoor all-night rave, which attracted about 3,000 attendees in total, turned into bloody mayhem after heavily armed Hamas terrorists paraglided across the border from Gaza and began attacking.
Festival-goers awoke to gunshots, screams, and explosions at about 6 a.m. when the militant group began slaughtering partygoers.
Horrifying videos shared online showed frantic partygoers sprinting for their cars trying to escape soon after Gaza gunmen began shooting.
Along with the shooting at the festival, Hamas terrorists invaded and fired thousands of rockets at Israeli towns.
The death toll now stands at 1,200 in Israel, including 14 Americans, while another 1,050 in Gaza have been killed.
At least 150 people have been taken hostage by Hamas, including Americans.
