Mikal Bridges admits that he’s following the NBA’s developing trade market, “just like everyone else.”
Speaking at a promotional appearance Saturday near Barclays Center, the Nets forward declined to address seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard or others potentially relocating to Brooklyn in trades this summer.
But Bridges allowed that the 32-year-old Lillard would “help any team” if the Blazers make him available in the coming weeks or months.
“Dame is Dame, everyone knows what he does and what he can do,” Bridges told The Post. “He’s an unbelievable leader, unbelievable player. Everybody in the world knows that.
“He’d be key for anybody, any team he goes to. He’s one of the Top 75 already, an unbelievable player.
“So wherever he goes, if he does go, he’s gonna make an impact.”
Lillard could hit the trade market this summer after the Blazers held onto the No. 3 overall pick in Thursday’s draft to take G League Ignite guard Scoot Henderson rather than deal it for an established player to pair with Lillard.
Bridges, who was acquired from the Suns in February in the Kevin Durant blockbuster added that he believes the Nets “definitely” showed they can be competitive in the Eastern Conference without another major trade after maintaining the No. 6 playoff spot — albeit getting swept by the 76ers in the first round — after dismantling their Big 3 of James Harden, Durant and Kyrie Irving.
“One hundred percent, said Bridges, who averaged 26.1 points in 27 regular-season games after the trade. “I like the team we have now going into the year, that’s without any moves.
“I’m definitely a fan of who we have coning into this offseason and coming into the preseason.”
Bridges also said that he’s “very excited” to have been selected to represent Team USA in August in the FIBA World Cup.
Nets teammate Cam Johnson will be on the squad, and Bridges will be reunited on the court with Knicks guard Jalen Brunson, his former NCAA championship teammate at Villanova.
“Cam, my twin, like I say it all the time, so it’s great that we’ll go over there and experience that at the same time,” Bridges said. “And Jalen, for sure, it’s going to be fun.
“Just the connection we have, it’s kind of like riding a bike, so we know that connection’s gonna be there again.
“But it’s definitely an honor, and I’m blessed to have an opportunity to play.”
Bridges’ appearance at The Vitamin Shoppe across the street from Atlantic Terminal was to promote a new energy product from G FUEL inspired by the new film, “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.”
