A hateful creep allegedly attacked a migrant man — stabbing him in the head while saying “You don’t belong in this country” — in the Bronx last week, police said Tuesday.
Luis Morillo, 36, was charged with four counts of assault, criminal possession of a weapon and harassment for the Nov. 10 attack on a fellow Hispanic man, cops said.
Morillo, who is homeless, allegedly approached the 52-year-old victim outside an Optimum cable store on East Fordham Road at around 7 p.m. and asked to borrow money, police said.
A fight between the two men ensued, during which Morillo spat out, “You don’t belong in this country,” NYPD Chief of Detectives Joseph Kenny told reporters Tuesday.
Morillo then allegedly punched the victim in the face and stabbed him in the head, police said.
Kenny said the victim was a new arrival to the US.
He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition, with gashes on his head, neck and back, police said.
Officers arrested and charged Morillo Saturday, police said.
He pleaded not guilty at his arraignment in Bronx Criminal Court and was released on non-monetary bail Sunday.
Morillo’s next court date is Jan 17.
