A migrant family has been camping in broad daylight outside the Midtown headquarters of billionaire George Soros’ lefty advocacy group Open Society Foundations — which poured tens of millions of dollars into pushing loose immigration policies, shocking video footage shows.
The video, posted Wednesday on X by activist and political consultant Jason Curtis Anderson, shows a mother he claims is a Asian migrant sitting in the freezing cold on a gray blanket spread along the sidewalk outside of Soros’ grant-making network’s offices on West 57th Street near Broadway.
“They pride themselves on taking care of the homeless and immigrants’ rights, but they’re letting people literally die on the sidewalk 20 feet from the front door,” said Anderson, who works nearby.
“George Soros has enough money to take care of our entire homeless budget, but instead of spending money on housing and doing the things [migrants] need, he’s only spending money on the [open borders and immigrant rights] advocacy work — but not on housing and services.”
In the video, the mom is clutching a young baby while a young girl hovers over them nearby, all dressed in winter gear.
Toy blocks and candy bar wrappers flood the blanket and a two-seat stroller sits idly nearby.
Anderson said he’s kept a very close eye on the family for a week before posting the video and finds it sickening that no Open Society Foundations staffers have offered them help.
Since 2016, Open Society has funneled at least $47 million to groups pushing lax border policies and immigration reform like Alianza Americas and Border Network for Human Rights, according to a review of the nonprofit’s grants.
Tom Fitton, president of conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch, ripped Soros for pumping money into lax-border policies yet not doing enough to help migrants when they arrive – even at his own doorstep.
“It’s not surprising to me that the left doesn’t want to deal with the consequences of their policies in a direct way,” he said.
“It’s frankly up to the people who are closer to the street, the regular citizens of New York, who have to deal with the mess [Open Society] has made.
An Open Society spokesman said the nonprofit champions “fair and humane treatment of all immigrants and refugees, and due process for those seeking asylum.”
