Comedian Michelle Buteau joined Jenna Bush Hager on the latest episode of Today With Jenna & Friends, where Buteau opened up about raising twins.

“I know your daughter’s been doing your makeup,” Bush Hager told Buteau, before quickly adding, “Not today, because you look gorgeous, but [she] has been doing your makeup.”

The Today crew then shared a photo of Buteau and her six-year-old daughter, Hazel, with their makeup freshly done.

“Oh, you guys are so shady. I love it,” Buteau commented with a laugh as she looked at the photo of herself wearing bright pink lipstick.

She chatted a bit more with Bush Hager as the photo stayed on the screen. “That is a bad look, you can take it down,” she told the Today crew. “That is a bad look. But I forget it’s on sometimes so I answer the door and everyones always like, ‘Is this a good time?’ And I’m like, ‘It’s a great time!’ And I have frosted lips.”

Later on in the broadcast, she and Bush Hager watched an old Herbal Essences commercial that had the co-hosts cracking up. And Buteau did not filter herself too much during their discussion.

“It was even better than I remember,” Bush Hager said of the commercial, to which Buteau fired back, “That’s what she said!”

Buteau is the latest guest host to appear on the very first week of Today With Jenna & Friends, after Keke Palmer, Taraji P. Henson and Eva Longoria all shared the desk with Bush Hager.

This new iteration of the fourth hour of Today will feature a rotating panel of guest hosts joining Bush Hager as she continues her search for a permanent co-host after Hoda Kotb, her co-host of five years, officially retired from Today last week.

Henson will return to co-host tomorrow, Jan. 17, after which Scarlett Johansson will be guest hosting an entire week of Today With Jenna & Friends next week.
