Cancel that Megill reunion at Citi Field next week.
Both Mets starter Tylor Megill and his brother, Brewers reliever Trevor Megill, were sent down to the minors on Thursday.
Tylor struggled in his Wednesday start against the Astros, as he allowed five runs — four earned — on four hits and four walks over just 2 1/3 innings.
Battling consistency and command issues this year, the right-hander has a 5.17 ERA and a 1.67 WHIP through 15 starts in 2023.
“(He is) focusing too much on his mechanics. … He just needs to get back to who he was, just throwing the baseball,” Mets pitching coach Jeremy Hefner said after Wednesday’s outing.
He was lined up to pitch Tuesday against the Brewers.
It’s unclear who will take his place in the rotation, though Joey Lucchesi would be the top internal candidate.
Meanwhile, Milwaukee demoted Trevor after he allowed three runs over 1 1/3 innings against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.
Trevor, 29 and two years older than Tylor, had six straight scoreless appearances before Wednesday’s struggles.
Tylor, who was acquired by the Brewers in an April 30 trade with the Twins, was sent down in order to make room for Matt Bush.
The brothers grew up in Long Beach, California.
“My husband’s very athletic, so that’s a start,” mother Julie Megill told The Post last year of her husband Kevin.
“They’re tall, they have that going for them; all of them are giants.”
