DALLAS — The pipeline from the Yankees to the Mets may not be closed.

The Mets are talking to Jonathan Loaisiga, according to sources.

The righty fits two criteria that have value right now with the Mets — he has strong ties to Carlos Mendoza from their years together with the Yankees and is the kind of potential low-buy, high-ceiling bullpen arm that David Stearns gravitates toward.

ESPN was the first to report the Mets’ interest in Loasiga, who had season-ending elbow surgery last April after just three appearances for the Yankees.

Loaisiga, though, is expected to be ready for spring training.

Loaisiga, who turned 30 last month, has commonality with another ex-Yankee who has now joined the Mets in Clay Holmes — in that, at his best, he often throws a hard, heavy sinker and induces a lot of groundballs.

In 2024, four players who were Yankees when Mendoza was a coach — Harrison Bader, Adam Ottavino, Luis Severino and Luis Torrens — played for the Mets.

This offseason they have reached agreements with Holmes and ex-Yankees starter Frankie Montas.

Juan Soto, who was with the Yankees in just 2024, was never a Yankee simultaneously with Mendoza.

The Yankees also might seek a reunion with Loaisiga.
