Francisco Lindor is using the Mets’ playoff-less October to get healthier.
The Mets shortstop underwent surgery to remove a bone spur from his right elbow Tuesday, the team announced Wednesday.
Lindor “is expected to be fully ready for spring training,” the Mets said.
Despite the elbow issue, Lindor played 160 games this season while batting .254 with 31 home runs, a .806 OPS and providing strong defense.
He added 31 steals, making him the fourth Met in franchise history to reach the 30-30 club.
Dr. David Altchek, the Mets’ medical director, performed the surgery in New York.
