The Mets got the help they needed, but could not help themselves.

The Amazin’s finished off their epic collapse to miss out on the final NL wild-card spot with a 4-0 loss to the Marlins in game 162 at loanDepot Park on Sunday.

The Reds dropped their game to the Brewers and earned the final playoff spot via the head-to-head tiebreaker.
