SAN DIEGO — The Mets are adding another late-inning reliever and one who definitely will add a different look to their bullpen.
The Mets are trading for submariner Tyler Rogers in a swap with the Giants, The Post confirmed Wednesday.
They are sending reliever Jose Butto and two prospects, right-hander Blade Tidwell and outfielder Drew Gilbert, to San Francisco.
The deal was not yet official.
Rogers, a free agent at season’s end, nearly scrapes his right hand on the mound when he pitches. The unique angle has proven difficult to hit — he owns a 1.80 ERA this season — and might help his durability.

Without a true, hard fastball, he leads the majors in games pitched (53) and led the majors in the category a season ago (77).
