Melania Trump is keeping it brim and proper in England.

The First Lady, 55, arrived at Windsor Castle on Tuesday in a tailored Christian Dior haute couture jacket and skirt, topped with a wide-brim plum hat that shielded her eyes from the cameras and contrasted against the gray skies above the Walled Garden.

Hand in hand with President Donald Trump, she joined the Prince and Princess of Wales for a highly anticipated walk during the historic state visit — Trump’s second to the UK, making him the first elected political leader in modern times to receive two such invitations from British monarchs.

Kate Middleton, 43, offered her own take on fall jewel tones, wearing a maroon Emilia Wickstead coat dress and a coordinating Jane Taylor hat, plus a structured Chanel handbag in the same rich shade.

The pairing made for a striking visual at the closely watched meeting, where Trump reportedly told Kate, “You’re beautiful, so beautiful” when shaking her hand.

Forget red, white, and blue — maroon and plum are the new colors of diplomacy.

For Melania, the Dior ensemble marked another chapter in a carefully curated state-visit wardrobe. Yesterday, she departed Joint Base Andrews in a sand-colored Burberry trench lined in the label’s iconic check, cinched at the waist and cascading to her ankles, paired with Dior Empreinte boots.

The Windsor walk echoed that sense of diplomatic dressing as both women kept to structured silhouettes, muted jewel tones, and statement headwear that commanded attention from across the castle grounds.

Melania’s dramatic headpiece evoked some of her most memorable millinery moments, from the white wide-brim Hervé Pierre hat she wore while welcoming French President Emmanuel Macron in 2018 to the navy Eric Javits boater that obscured her face during January’s presidential inauguration. On that occasion, the hat’s brim was so wide it prevented President Trump from planting a proper kiss on her cheek, resulting in an awkward inaugural air kiss.

At Windsor, the plum-colored statement piece served as a reminder that she still knows how to use a hat as both armor and a spectacle.
