Megyn Kelly said she can’t figure out why people she normally agrees with are promoting “bizarre” conspiracy theories about Taylor Swift.

Swift, whose already immense star power has been magnified by her romance with NFL star Travis Kelce, has been targeted by Republicans over her allegiance to the Democratic Party.

Some Donald Trump supporters have floated theories claiming that the “Shake It Off” singer could be “a front for a covert political agenda” that was cooked up by the Pentagon in order to get President Joe Biden re-elected.

Others have pondered whether Swift was manipulated by liberal billionaire financier George Soros into becoming an activist Democrat.

“Literally, people believe this. People on the right who I like and respect are pushing this,” Kelly said during Wednesday’s episode of her SiriusXM podcast “The Megyn Kelly Show.”

The former TV anchor did not specify which individuals were promoting the conspiracy theories.

Swift’s relationship with Kelce, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end whose team will defend its Super Bowl title next week, has also drawn the ire of Trump backers, particularly after the all-pro appeared in ads for Pfizer to promote the vaccine for the coronavirus.

Kelly wondered why people were “afraid” of attention that was being lavished on the singer and her boyfriend.

“People are acting like Taylor Swift actually holds the key to the presidency,” the former Fox News prime-time host said.

Kelly speculated that both Swift and Kelce will most likely vote for President Biden, though she added: “Why are people living in fear of this?”

Before the 2020 election, Swift endorsed Biden. But so far this election season she has stayed mum on her pick.

Even if the singer endorses Biden, it won’t swing the election, according to Kelly.

“She does have power, she does have influence, she’s told people to go vote, and something like 35,000 of them did,” Kelly said.

“But registering to vote is not the same as actually voting.”

Kelly said Swift will remain popular if she stays out of politics.

“If she’s smart, she will stay nonpolitical, which is better for her,” Kelly said.

Other media heavyweights like NewsNation host Chris Cuomo and TNT basketball commentator Charles Barkley also weighed in on the topic.

Cuomo called the conspiracy theories “crazy sauce” and a “mashup of madness.”

“It’s completely divorced from reality,” Cuomo said on his NewsNation show on Wednesday.

“No one with a working brain can believe this energy that they’re putting into this. She hasn’t even endorsed anybody.”

The host added: “Who cares who she endorses!”

While co-hosting the “King Charles” alongside Gayle King on CNN over the weekend, Barkley hit out at those promoting the conspiracy theories about Swift.

“I’m gonna look right in that camera,” Barkley said.

“If you’re screaming at Taylor Swift saying she ruined [football], you’re just a loser. You’re just a loser or a jackass,” the basketball legend said.
