Megyn Kelly quipped that TV frenemy Candace Owens should be Harvard’s next president following calls for Harvard to replace ousted president Claudine Gay with another black woman.

Gay, Harvard’s first black president, resigned Tuesday following months-long pressure over her handling of antisemitism on the Ivy League campus following the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre in Israel and recent revelations that she plagiarized passages of her doctoral dissertation in 1997.

Her exit prompted charges from some quarters that racial animus was the motivating factor behind the movement to see her removed from her post.

Marc Lamont Hill, a left-leaning author, wrote on X, “the next president of Harvard University MUST be a Black woman.”

Kelly, the host of “The Megyn Kelly Show” on SiriusXM, jabbed back that Owens, a conservative black pundit who supported Donald Trump, “should be back from maternity leave in a couple months.”

The Post has sought comment from Owens.

The two talking heads have butted heads in recent months.

In October, Kelly and Owens were engaged in an online feud over whether it was appropriate to blacklist Harvard students who are members of campus groups that signed a letter blaming Israel for the Hamas attacks, which left around 1,200 people dead.

Owens accused Kelly of being “incredibly disingenuous” by criticizing GOP presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy over his opposition to blacklists.

“You know that many of those students are not out there because they want babies to be murdered,” Owens wrote in response to an X post by Kelly on Oct. 15.

Owens wrote that while college students are “stupid,” they were “young” and “experimenting” with ideas as she had done when she was “radically pro-choice.”

“You are an adult woman who is advocating for their lives to be permanently pigeonholed because they have the wrong ideas which are likely being spoon fed to them in their classrooms,” Owens wrote to Kelly.

Kelly fired back at Owens.

“Being liberal is not the same as taking to the streets to cheer murdered babies and blame said murders on the victims,” Kelly wrote.

“But you go ahead and hire as many of them as you want Candace.”

Bill Ackman, the billionaire hedge fund manager who called on private companies to deny employment opportunities to students who are members of groups that attached their names to the letter, had been at the forefront of those calling for Gay’s removal.

Ackman’s initial call for a student blacklist divided prominent figures on the right.

Owens, a Daily Wire commentator and prominent internet personality with a following of millions of people, had a public falling out with Ben Shapiro, the Daily Wire co-founder.

The two disagreed over Israel’s military response to the Hamas attack on Oct. 7. Owens called Shapiro “emotionally unhinged” after he invited her to quit her Daily Wire show over their dispute about Israel.

The Owens-Shapiro feud began in mid-November when a user on X posted a video showing Shapiro criticizing the commentator over her stance on Israel.

“I think her behavior during this has been disgraceful, without a doubt,” Shapiro is seen saying.

Last month, Liz Magill resigned as president of the University of Pennsylvania after she and Gay both sparked outrage by failing to unequivocally condemn calls for genocide against Jews during testimony before Congress.
