Meghan Markle is skipping out on King Charles III’s coronation because she wants to “protect her peace,” a royal biographer said.

“She is aware just how much of the spotlight goes on her when she sets even a foot near the story,” Omid Scobie said during an interview on ITV’s “This Morning” Wednesday.

“It’s portrayed as intentional,” he continued. “Should she come over and just stand next to her husband, the commentary and the narrative of the day would have been very different.”

The “Finding Freedom” author claimed many of the royal family members are relieved that Markle is not attending the festivities so she can’t steal the spotlight from Charles on his big day.

“[They] would rather the attention didn’t go onto her,” he said. “If you look back at some of Harry and Meghan’s biggest problems, it was all down to the fact that the attention was always on them at times when it shouldn’t have been.”

Scobie also shared that the couple waited “for some time” before finding out they were even getting invited to Charles’ coronation.

“There was never any question on whether he would want to come or not,” he said. “It was a question at one point on whether he would be invited, I think.

“From what I understand, the Sussexes had to wait for some time to really get the confirmation whether they were 100 percent welcome at this event.”

In March, a spokesperson for the Sussexes confirmed that Harry, 38, and Markle, 41, were both invited to the crowning ceremony.

However, Buckingham Palace confirmed the following month that Harry would be attending the historic event sans his wife.

Sources told Page Six at the time that Markle chose to remain home in California with their two kids — Prince Archie, 3, and Princess Lilibet, 1 — to celebrate their son’s 4th birthday, which falls on the same day as the coronation.

But Harry won’t be staying in the UK for too long, as he plans to return back to the US just hours after the coronation ends so that he can make it back in time for Archie’s birthday.

While Harry and Markle resigned from their royal duties in 2020, Scobie said the redheaded royal still “cares” about his family and takes his position in the line of succession very seriously.

“Ultimately, he is fifth in line to the throne,” the writer said. “He is a Councillor of State. There is a serious constitutional reason for him to be here, and he takes that seriously, even though he’s not a working member of the royal family.”

But Scobie did admit that the monarchy snubbed Harry by not assigning him an official role during the ceremony.

“Unfortunately, there is nothing carved out in the ceremony for him, and I would imagine if Harry and Meghan were working royals still, and everything had worked out differently, there may have been some way for them to have been orchestrated into it, or at least to be visible on that big balcony,” he said.

“But obviously that’s not the case, and people are wondering where Harry will be. Will he be with the civvies or will he be with his family members, and if he is what row will he be in?”

While Charles has expressed that Harry and Markle were both welcome to join the royal ceremony, Scobie claimed that the duke’s relationship with his brother, Prince William, is still icy.

“There has been minimal contact since the Queen’s funeral,” Scobie shared of William, 40, and Harry’s tense relationship.

Harry notoriously ripped into his older brother in his memoir, “Spare,” claiming that the Prince of Wales had physically attacked him during an alteration over Markle and played a hand in his scandalous decision to wear a Nazi uniform to a party in 2005.

Charles, 74, and Queen Camilla, 75, will be coronated at Westminster Abbey in London on May 6.
