Meghan Markle is going down memory lane.

The Duchess of Sussex looked back on the beginning of her and Prince Harry’s romance — when “everything was in code” — during a wide-ranging podcast interview released Monday.

“People didn’t know we were dating,” she explained to “Jamie Kern Lima Show” listeners. “I couldn’t tell anyone who I was dating, so we were just on a letter basis.”

Not only do the royals still refer to each other as “M” and “H,” but their “close friends and family” do, too.

“It stuck,” Markle noted. “I like it. I like nicknames a lot. I love nicknames.”

Jamie Kern Lima confirmed that the pet names are a “thing,” saying, “Still to this day, I’ll be at a playdate or we’ll be somewhere with tons of people there, and he’ll say, ‘M’ and you’ll say, ‘H.'”

Markle, 43, and Harry, 40, started dating in 2016, with the former military pilot getting down on one knee the following year.

The couple wed in 2018 before welcoming son Prince Archie, now 5, followed by daughter Princess Lilibet, now 3, in 2019 and 2021, respectively.

The family of four now reside in Montecito, Calif., after Harry and Markle quit their royal duties in 2020.

Markle notably referred to her partner as “H” while gushing about their family during Monday’s interview.

“There’s something that’s not to be taken for granted when you have a partner and a spouse who is just so behind you,” she said. “I mean, H, that man loves me so much. And, you know, look what we built.

“We’ve built a beautiful life, and we have two healthy, beautiful children,” she continued. “I always think about it like the end of ‘Super Mario Bros.’ when you get to the final, final level, and what’s the goal in ‘Super Mario’? … Slay the dragon, save the princess.”

Elsewhere in the episode, the retired actress answered in the affirmative when asked whether she will stay married to her husband — whom she labeled a “fox” — forever.

She also spoke about sending her children special emails “almost every night” with “tender moments” to reflect on when they are older.

Markle reads “a lot of parenting books” and hopes her little ones grow up to believe “no one has ever loved someone more than the way [she] mom loved [them].”
